Orienteering afternoon event – 2nd October 3.30-5pm 

This Wednesday, 2nd October, we will be holding a family orienteering session after school. All Langford families are welcome to come along and explore how we teach orienteering to the children. This will be a fun session where you will be given a map and clues to follow.  

We are very lucky to have an orienteering course on our grounds, which was kindly funded by FOLVS, and we are so grateful that they have continued to support the funding for the orienteering cross-curricular learning tool this year. 

This event will take place in school between 3.30pm and 5.00pm. You will need to wear outdoor shoes, coats if it is cold/rainy and be ready to take on our orienteering challenges. FOLVS will be there to provide refreshments, and they have organised a pizza catering van to be on site for a little bit of early tea.  

There is no need to attend the full session, and families can arrive and leave as they wish within the hours of 3.30 - 5.00pm. Since the site will be open during this event, all children will remain the responsibility of their parents/ carers whilst attending and will need to stay with their families.
