Dear Parents and Carers,

Sports Day for Years 1-3 will take place on Wednesday 27th June. Events will start at 9:30am and finish at approximately 11:30am. Please enter via the playground and not the front entrance. Gates will open at 9.20am and be locked at 9.40am. Unfortunately, any parents arriving after the gates have been locked will need to report to the front office and will have to wait until they can be escorted to the playground gate. Late arrivals will not be permitted to enter through the school as lessons will be taking place.

As the whole phase (Years 1-3) will be competing against each other, we are asking that children wear a specific colour t-shirt. This year, we will be competing in houses again and the t-shirt colour will identify their house (as stated at the bottom of the letter).

If for any reason your child is not participating (eg. injury), they may still wear their house colour so that they are part of the day in a supportive capacity. Even if your child is not taking part, please remember to send your child into school with a bottle of water that can be refilled and apply sun cream.

As there is not time for each child to participate in every event, they will have already chosen which activities they would like to represent their house in. Children will be involved in a variety of races, competing for a mixed-age house team.

All support is welcome; whether it is parents, carers, grandparents, aunts or uncles. The sports events will finish with a relay followed by a parent/carer race. Please note you will only be able to take part in this if you are wearing appropriate footwear!

Spectators - please take a chair to sit on the patio outside the KS2 conservatories. For safety reasons, please may we remind you to stay off the field, and keep younger children with you at all times.

For safeguarding reasons, you will be asked to vacate the school premises before the children are sent back to their classrooms.

Photographs: You are welcome to take photos of your children participating in the sports events, but these must not be published on social media websites.

Fox =Yellow

Deer= Green

Badger= Blue

Although we run competitive events, every child will receive recognition for their sportsmanship. We look forward to seeing you for an enjoyable, fun day!
