Mrs White is the Swans class teacher, Yvonne is our Key Person who helps us with our learning.
Please see below for some housekeeping information and pictures of the classroom.
Reading: We read daily with all children in class in two halves (groups of 15), as part of our FFT SfA Reading Scheme. Please read daily with your child, the weekly decodable book is uploaded to Tapestry each Friday. Children will also bring home a 'Library Book' which is a picture book from the class library, this book is for you to share together at home.
Summer: In the warmer weather please ensure your child comes to school with a sun hat.
Winter: In the colder months please ensure your child come to school with a coat.
Snack: Langford Village Community Primary School promotes healthy eating. Fruit and Semi-Skimmed Milk is provided for a snack at times throughout the day.
Classroom: Children will need water bottles in class every day. Please ensure bottles only contain water and are labelled.
Spare clothes: A bag of spare clothes should be brought to school each day which should include a full set of clothes (including underwear). Please ensure each item is labelled with your child's name.
Wellies and waterproofs: Please provide your child with wellies and waterproofs that can stay in school.
Forest School: From term 3 children in Reception will start some informal Forest School sessions. They will get to know how to safely and successfully get to, and explore, the site. For these sessions they will wear their coats, wellies, and waterproofs (please ensure your child has these in school every day). From term 4 we will ask you to send your child to school in their Forest School kit - a long sleeved top and long trousers, with additional weather dependent items e.g., gloves, hat etc. In hot weather, you may send your child to school with a short sleeve top and shorts to change into after their session. The day for Forest School sessions will be communicated nearer to the end of term 3.
P.E: The children in Reception will have PE on a Wednesday starting in term 3. For term 3, your child will continue to attend school on a Wednesday in their school uniform (PE will be in the hall with shoes and socks off). From term 4 half term we ask that all children have their full PE kit and wear this to school on a Wednesday
